Beth Thompson Biography

Education: Beth Thompson has a B.S. in chemistry from Fairmont State University as well as about 30 graduate hours in chemistry from Penn State University.  She also has a Master's of Education degree with an online learning certification.  She has instructed various math and science courses in a variety of settings, including an online high school, a college classroom, and a local learning center.  Currently, she is an adjunct science instructor at Fairmont State.




More about Beth: 
Beth spends a great deal of time teaching.  In addition to her job at Fairmont State, she enjoys developing unique courses for the Songbird center, teaching Sunday school at her local church, and homeschooling her own four children.  She has taught courses as diverse as Shakespeare, Kitchen Chemistry, and Geometry through Origami.  She is passionate about spending time with her family and friends and sharing science with people in fun, innovative ways.
